Signature Performance Tire & Wheel is an extremely fast-growing Retail Aftermarket Automotive Parts & Accessories Sales Company seeking a Automotive Mechanic with a minimum of 2 years experience in all areas of general automotive as well as the installation of Aftermarket Automotive Parts & Accessories on Jeeps, Trucks, SUV’s, SXS’s and all other cars and vehicles. The successful candidate must be able to professionally inspect, diagnose, repair or install one of our parts and or automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience.
We need a trustworthy and reliable team player. You must have a good attitude and be a self-starter someone that shows initiative and does not hesitate to present new ideas, give feedback and/or suggestions to management on better ways to maintain a profitable and efficient shop. A motivated team player that works efficiently and fast and does not need constant oversight to complete jobs.

Automotive Mechanic Position Summary:

  • The Automotive Mechanic must professionally inspect, diagnose, repair and or install one of Signature Performance Tire & Wheel’s automotive services, while delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • The Mechanic is expected to continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay updated with the rapidly changing automotive industries technology and perform work in accordance with specifications.
The Mechanic must have tools.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair to current specifications.
  • Properly document the intake of vehicles using the proper software.
  • Report to service manager for instructions of job priority.
  • Diagnose all incoming vehicle problems.
  • Record all service notes for service manager.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to order repair parts.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs when dispatched by service manager.
  • Record all parts, fluids and time associated with each vehicle.
  • Observe all OSHA and safety protocol.
  • Be able to perform all general automotive maintenance and repair services including but not limited to: Brakes, exhaust, electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment, mount & balance tires.
Be able to install aftermarket parts and accessories including lift & lowering kits, intake & exhaust, a variety of performance accessories as well as but no limited to any aftermarket parts and accessories Signature Performance Tire and Wheel Sells.

  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
  • Continuous learning and keeping up with new technical information and new techniques through formal training as well as informal learning to stay abreast of today’s rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Keep management aware of mechanical repair problems in the shop as they occur.
  • Maintain an organized and clean shop.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules.
  • We expect you to help set the pace and tone while helping develop the team around you build their knowledge, skills, and their abilities.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to safely operates a motor vehicle.

  • Must be able to lift, carry and place merchandise and supplies up to 80 pounds without assistance.
  • Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Possesses fine motor skills to safely operate tools.
  • Climb up and down ladders to retrieve merchandise.
  • Communicates effectively in person, by telephone, or by using a computer or tablet.
  • Enters and locates information on computer.
  • Visually reads and verifies information by reading instructions (in booklets and on a computer or tablet) often in small print.
  • Automotive Certification (preferred but not required)
  • ASE Certifications (Preferred but not required)
  • 3 Years(preferred) of General Automotive Mechanical problem-solving and repair experience (ASE Certification a plus).
