Job Description: The role of an automated QA Analyst II is to implement best practice testing techniques and perform testing as part of the software development life cycle.
The Analyst should have In-depth knowledge of generally accepted testing practices as well as testing and development processes.
The analyst plans and tests all software changes to ensure that products conform to the desired quality standard. The analyst is accountable for defects and ensuring that software changes are client ready
Essential Job Functions:
-Troubleshoot scripting related issues verses application issue
-Review/run manual regression test to training independently
-Utilizing regression test as automation planning
-Multi-tasking
Develops and executes manual testing scripts based on software requirements
Identifies, logs, and tracks defects
Provides reporting on defect tracking and escalates issues as needed
Supports and adheres to testing standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent testing procedures
Follows standards in accordance with company policy
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant equivalent experience required
Three + years of software testing experience required.
Eye for detail
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as negotiation skills
In-depth understanding of the various testing concepts (e.g. functional, usability, regression)
Knowledge of waterfall and agile concepts
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to write detailed test cases
