Position Overview:

The Huntington Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE) is seeking a QA Automation Lead who will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of automation solutions for web-based applications, with a particular emphasis on integrating Salesforce platforms and processes. This role combines technical expertise in automation development with strong analytical skills and leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure that Salesforce automation framework and processes are optimized for quality, efficiency, and scalability.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA, including designing and developing test automation frameworks.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with WebDriver IO.
  • 1+ years of experience in API Automation using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or ReadyAPI.
  • 1+ years of experience in Azure DevOps for defect management, test management, and repository usage.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in test automation tools and techniques, including functional, regression, and integration.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales/Service Clouds and web component automation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD).
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks, such as WebDriver IO.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing for Salesforce platforms.
  • Identify areas for improvement in test processes, analyze results, and troubleshoot defects.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with Agile delivery timelines.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test strategies, plans, and data.
  • Participate in requirement reviews to gain insights into functional specifications and provide feedback.

Automation:

  • Design, develop, and implement robust automation frameworks and test scripts for web applications and Salesforce integrations.
  • Plan and prioritize automation tasks in alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
  • Oversee the end-to-end automation testing process, from design to execution and reporting, ensuring Salesforce integrations are properly validated.
  • Analyze test results, identify areas of improvement, and troubleshoot issues in automation scripts.
  • Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and efficient testing cycles.
  • Work with DevOps teams to ensure that automated tests, including those for Salesforce integrations, are part of the build and release processes.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work with scrum teams to plan and execute automation efforts in sprint-based delivery models.
  • Provide training and technical direction to team members on automation frameworks and best practices.
  • Partner with QA, development, and operations teams to integrate automation testing into the software development lifecycle.
  • Deliver updates on test execution metrics and communicate results effectively to leadership.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements and quality standards, particularly in Salesforce-driven processes.
  • Act as an SME for Salesforce automation, including UI and API testing.
  • Enhance cross-system integration testing capabilities, focusing on processing events and interacting with APIs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication and coordination skills for cross-team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Apex, LWC, flows, triggers, and security best practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and MuleSoft is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
  • Ability to manage defect tracking and provide timely updates on resolutions.
  • Must be driven, well-organized, and collaborative in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Advanced certifications in test automation, quality assurance, or Salesforce development/administration.

Compensation Range:

77,000.00 - 154,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
