Joining our team means working as part of a professional touring crew—living on the road, traveling by bus, checking in and out of hotels, and setting up shows in arenas, stadiums, and venues across the country and the world.



Summary
As an Automation Technician, you’ll be the hands-on backbone of the automation department, ensuring that winches, lifts, and automated show elements are set up, maintained, and operated safely. This role requires technical knowledge of mechanics and electronics, problem-solving under pressure, and dedication to keeping live productions running smoothly.



Key Responsibilities

  • Safely install, assemble, and operate automation gear and winches on-site
  • Assist in shop preparations, labeling, packing, and organizing equipment
  • Anticipate and prepare spare gear to avoid tour delays
  • Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment including drives, cables, and controls
  • Perform inspections and maintenance on all automation systems
  • Support emergency procedure training and compliance efforts
  • Maintain professional demeanor and teamwork on tour

Skills & Experience

  • Basic mechanical/electronic knowledge with troubleshooting ability
  • Familiarity with entertainment automation standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Readiness to travel extensively and work irregular hours
  • Physical stamina to lift/move equipment in varied environments
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing training in automation
