Job description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Automation Solution Architect in Netherlands.

This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, solution design, and customer engagement, helping organizations transform how they approach infrastructure automation. You will work directly with highly technical teams to understand complex environments and translate fragmented automation setups into scalable, data-driven architectures. The position is both advisory and hands-on, combining solution design, proof-of-concept development, and technical storytelling. You will play a key role in pre-sales and post-sales cycles, ensuring customers can successfully adopt modern infrastructure automation practices. Working in a fast-moving, open-source-driven environment, you will influence both product direction and real-world implementations. The role requires strong technical credibility, communication skills, and a deep understanding of infrastructure systems. Your work will directly impact how enterprises manage and automate large-scale infrastructure.

Accountabilities:
  • Act as a technical advisor in pre-sales engagements, participating in discovery sessions and demos to understand customer challenges and design tailored automation solutions.
  • Develop and deliver proof-of-concepts that demonstrate how modern infrastructure data models and automation platforms solve real-world problems across network, cloud, and data center environments.
  • Lead technical demonstrations and workshops that clearly communicate complex automation concepts to engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, product teams, and technology partners to design integrated and scalable automation solutions.
  • Provide post-sales technical support during onboarding and implementation to ensure successful production adoption.
  • Collect and relay customer feedback and real-world insights to product and engineering teams to influence roadmap direction.
  • Contribute to technical content such as documentation, demos, and thought leadership materials supporting the broader automation community.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation, working in complex production environments such as network, cloud, security, or data center infrastructure.
  • Strong Python programming skills with the ability to build automation scripts and support customer implementations.
  • Deep experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Nornir, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles such as solutions engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting.
  • Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with minimal structure, independently driving solutions from concept to execution.
  • Experience working in distributed, remote-first teams with strong async communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eligibility to work within the Netherlands or broader European time zones.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package including salary, equity, and performance-based elements (details shared during the interview process).
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Flexible paid time off policy supporting work-life balance.
  • Home office setup allowance to support a productive remote working environment.
  • Professional development budget for training, courses, and industry events.
  • Twice-yearly global company offsites in international locations.
  • Equity participation in a fast-growing commercial open-source organization.
  • Fully remote-first setup with flexibility across Europe and aligned regions.
