We have a Unique opportunity for an experienced technology professional to join our IT team as a Senior IT and Network Specialist. Position Overview

The Senior IT and Network Specialist supports the team in maintaining optimum performance, security and control of computer hardware, software, printers, and network infrastructure. This role serves as an escalation point for helpdesk issues and performs operational support including security updates, vulnerability mitigation, server upgrades, VMware configuration, and mobile OS security. They ensure procedures are performed appropriately, documented thoroughly, and critical data remains protected.

Primary Accountabilities

  • IT Strategy
    • Assist with maintenance, upgrades and roadmap strategies of IT systems and solutions.
    • Provide quarterly operation report to IT management.
    • Maintain system documentation using diagramming tools and clearly communicate progress on tasks through department management systems.
  • IT Operations
    • Lead and independently execute networking and infrastructure projects and system upgrades.
    • Administer, maintain, and monitor bank systems, servers (physical/virtual), networking components, and telecommunications equipment.
    • Administer Microsoft servers including AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and scripting.
    • Develop automation workflows for IT and network infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with security team on vulnerability management, weekly planning, and mitigation reporting.
    • Escalation to Manager and/or vendors to resolve issues as appropriate.
    • Perform tuning, reporting, needs analysis, and technical solution scoping for business problems.
    • Escalate issues to management or vendors when appropriate.
  • IT Support
    • As part of the IT team, the Senior IT and Networking Specialist will act as an escalation point for all computer-related helpdesk issues in the Bank. This includes, but is not limited to:
      • Business application issues (Microsoft Office, web based systems, bank applications).
      • Networking issues such as connectivity or protocol configuration.
      • Maintenance or replacement of workstation software/hardware.
    • Provide user training.
    • Support teammates in daily operations of internal and customer-facing systems.
    • Recommend system improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
    • Perform application administration, account setups, and various system maintenance.
    • Participate in software implementations and rollouts.
    • Participate in IT working groups and cross-functional project teams.
    • Deploy and support mobile devices and administer the MDM platform.
    • Support Zoom phone in the Main Office and across all branch locations.
    • Travel between branches as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Work Experience

  • Associateโ€™s degree required, Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years networking experience (firewalls, routers, switches) with Cisco, Aruba, VeloCloud, SonicWall required.
  • 5+ years proven installation, support, and administration of Microsoft Servers including operating systems, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and scripting required.
  • 5+ years supporting Microsoft Exchange or Exchange Online required.
  • 2+ years automation and asset management experience preferred.
  • 2+ years vulnerability management and mitigation experience required.
  • 5+ years user services support for desktop environments required.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problemโ€‘solving skills expected.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for working with nonโ€‘technical users required.
  • Ability to participate in onโ€‘call rotation required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs periodically.
  • VMware ESXi host and guest VM management experience required.
  • PowerShell, SQL, VB, or automation scripting experience required.
  • Linux experience (Red Hat or Ubuntu) helpful.
  • Experience working in a banking IT environment helpful.
  • Microsoft certifications helpful.
  • Omnissa Horizon (VDI) helpful.
  • Microsoft 365 implementation and administration experience preferred.
  • Cloud technologies: Azure AD/Entra ID, M365 security & compliance, hybrid identity experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with NIST, CIS controls, SIEM monitoring, incident response helpful.
  • DR/BCP participation, including backup validation and DR testing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and change management processes helpful.
