Job description

This position is responsible to support the automated manufacturing equipment in the facility.  This responsibility includes, set up and programming of the equipment as well as preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the equipment performs in the most efficient and effective way possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Initial set up of new automation equipment, including programmable controllers, robot controllers, end of arm tools, automated placement machines, and conveyors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment to avoid or minimize production downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on robotic equipment and automated production systems.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory to enable quick-turn repair of any automation equipment to avoid down time.
  • Program automated equipment to perform desired tasks.
  • Maintain accurate service records of all automation equipment.
  • Will be required to perform physical work on the manufacturing floor, this may mean frequent squatting, bending, reaching, or standing to gain access to the equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical).
  • A certificate from a Vocational/Technical School is also acceptable.
  • 1-2 years of robotic equipment or automated production systems in a manufacturing environment.
