We are a small team accomplishing great things and are looking for experienced engineers to join our tight knit & growing team.

The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on Automation to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement advanced, product design, custom machines and automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with our customers\' existing processes and products. Depending on their specific assignment, he/she may be a stand-alone contributor who can lead large scale design build projects, provide automation support within a specific area, or provide validation support for automation projects. He/she is recognized as proficient in their field such as detailed mechanical design, specific control systems, plastics design, enclosures, instrumentation, process, utilities, or qualification testing. The Mechanical Engineer meets customer needs in support of project business goals. In addition, he/she supports and collaborates with junior level engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop mechanical systems and components with an emphasis on automation, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Project Support: Work within a project team, teamwork, schedule adherence, execution, start-up, commissioning, owner interaction, qualifications
  • System integration: Identify and implement automation systems including the mechanical design, electrical controls design and possibly programming if experienced.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and production staff, to integrate automation solutions.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes, conduct testing, and refine designs to meet project goals and specifications.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage automation projects from concept to deployment, adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Leadership: Provide SME Leadership in designated area/field. Depending on assignment, this may be product design, machine design, robotics integration, equipment assembly and testing.
  • Documentation: Generate and maintain technical documentation, including design schematics, process instructions, and operation manuals.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and automation-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on automation systems.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated machinery and processes.

Technical Skills:

  • High Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of robotics, PLC programming, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation standards and safety regulations.
  • Experience with material handling systems, actuators, sensors, and pneumatic systems.
  • Machining experience is a plus.
