Job description

Trueline's is a stable, family-owned manufacturer serving the global life sciences and healthcare markets, is seeking an Automation Technician to join their onsite team in Lodi, California. This hands-on role supports industrial robots, packaging equipment, and automated manufacturing systems in a high-volume production environment, with a consistent daytime schedule and two available workweek options.

What You'll Do as the Automation Technician:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial robots and automated manufacturing equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failures
  • Respond to production breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform preventive maintenance to improve uptime and equipment reliability
  • Support packaging equipment and downstream automation systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Use multimeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot AC and DC circuits
  • Diagnose faults involving motors, valves, cylinders, bearings, sensors, and related automation components
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and identify faults without being responsible for programming
  • Communicate equipment conditions, repair needs, and recurring issues to production leadership
  • Document completed repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance
  • Follow established procedures and standard operating practices
  • Complete permanent, quality repairs rather than temporary fixes
  • Support continuous production while maintaining a safe and organized work environment
  • Participate in ongoing equipment improvement and reliability efforts

Must-Haves as the Automation Technician:

  • 3-5 years of industrial automation, automation maintenance, or electro-mechanical maintenance experience
  • Direct hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial robots
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Experience diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and pneumatic diagrams
  • Experience using a multimeter for AC and DC circuit troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of motors, valves, cylinders, bearings, sensors, and related automation components
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and responding to production equipment breakdowns
  • Manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Stable work history with demonstrated employment longevity
  • Ability to work onsite in Lodi
  • Availability to work either Thursday-Monday or Friday-Tuesday from 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
