The Opportunity: Work term of 4, 8, 12 or 16 months starting in September 2026.
Join the RSP QA team, focused on validating the quality of new software features for IP switching platforms through manual and automated testing. This internship provides exposure to end-to-end IP systems and software quality processes while building knowledge in networking and automation technologies. The role offers opportunities to learn from experienced engineers and mentors in a collaborative environment.
How you will make an impact:
  • Collaborate with engineers to set up new lab topologies and develop an understanding of integrated end-to-end IP systems.
  • Enhance existing automation scripts written in Python.
  • Develop new Python automation scripts.
  • Execute defined test suites for software feature validation.
  • Identify and report software defects.
  • Retest software defects after resolution.
  • Contribute to understanding and application of software development lifecycle processes.
The must haves:
  • Education: Actively enrolled in a degree program in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems/Technology or equivalent,
  • Foundational knowledge of software development concepts.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Python.
Nice to haves:
  • Understanding of data communications, including packet/IP networks.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Pay Range:
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.50 - $35.00
