Job Description

Eagle Hill Consulting is seeking a Logistics and Sustainment Specialist (Senior) to support our U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client. This role will provide logistics, sustainment, and acquisition support across CBP programs and initiatives to improve operational readiness, lifecycle supportability, and mission effectiveness. Applicants must be willing and able to work on client sites within the Washington, DC metro area as required by the client.

This role will support logistics planning, lifecycle sustainment activities, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), supply chain coordination, readiness analysis, and acquisition support activities across a variety of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission environments.

This role contributes to the development of client solutions and supports the execution of complex project activities. They are expected to work independently, coordinate across stakeholders, and provide analytical and operational support to help clients improve mission delivery and sustainment outcomes.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Support logistics and sustainment activities across CBP acquisition programs throughout the system lifecycle
  • Develop sustainment plans, logistics support documentation, lifecycle cost estimates, and related acquisition support materials
  • Conduct logistics analyses and assessments to support operational readiness, lifecycle supportability, and cost management
  • Support supply chain, asset management, inventory, and logistics operations activities
  • Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to support program execution and sustainment planning
  • Support readiness reviews, acquisition milestone activities, and other logistics support functions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years supporting logistics, lifecycle sustainment, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), supply chain management, asset management, acquisition support, or related disciplines within federal programs, large-scale operational environments, or complex mission-support settings
  • Experience supporting logistics planning, sustainment analysis, operational readiness activities, or lifecycle support functions
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition processes, lifecycle logistics principles, and sustainment best practices
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with experience coordinating across government and contractor stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to successfully obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation (BI), as well as any other background investigations required to perform client work
  • Ability to travel, as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Active CBP BI or have held a CBP BI within the last two years
  • Experience supporting DHS or CBP programs within border security, law enforcement, aviation, or maritime mission environments
  • Familiarity with DHS acquisition lifecycle frameworks, Cost Wise Readiness (CWR), or acquisition milestone review processes
  • Experience supporting logistics and sustainment activities across the acquisition lifecycle, including planning, deployment, sustainment, and operational support
  • Experience applying analytical methods, logistics tools, business applications, or logistics automation systems to support operational readiness and lifecycle cost management
  • DAU certification in Acquisition or Life Cycle Logistics preferred
  • Experience with SAP financial systems, logistics automation tools, or asset management systems supporting federal programs

Compensation: A reasonable expectation for a starting salary range is: $110–130K. This range is based on the Washington, DC Metro area and varies based on geographic residence. Specific salary range will be based on experience, location, and the level at which an applicant is hired.
