This role will focus on advancing yard modernization initiatives to shape the future of our distribution center yards improving efficiency, enhancing safety, and delivering business value. They will collaborate with product, technology, and operations on solution design and deployment. You’ll research emerging technologies, design scalable infrastructure solutions, lead pilots, and operationalize next-generation transportation systems .

Join Walmart’s Transportation Engineering team, a leader in advancing one of North America’s largest private fleets. This team drives innovation in zero-emissions technology, autonomous vehicle systems, and yard modernization. Operating at the intersection of automation, infrastructure, and large-scale operations, the team develops and deploys cutting-edge fleet technologies and modernizes distribution center yards. Collaborating with internal and external partners, the team advances solutions from concept to scaled deployment, ensuring operational efficiency and financial viability. This group shapes Walmart’s transportation strategy through continuous improvement, advanced analytics, and project management excellence.
