Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Automation & Controls Engineering Intern is to contribute to the Nucor team, focusing on achieving exceptional results in the areas of safety, cost, and reliability. The role will be hands-on and interactive with the maintenance and production teams in the field. The selected candidate's job responsibilities will include:
- Learning automation/control and process fundamentals involved in steel making.
- Maintenance/Engineering projects focused on safety, cost, and reliability.
- Preventive & predictive maintenance programs and routines.
- Routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment and process related issues.
- Learning and applying new skills in automation, controls, power transmission and pneumatics. The role of the Automation & Controls Engineering Intern is to contribute to the Nucor team, focusing on achieving exceptional results in the areas of safety, cost, and reliability. The role will be hands-on and interactive with the maintenance and production teams in the field. The selected candidate's job responsibilities will include:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Rising Junior or Senior.
  • Fundamental knowledge of automation and controls.
  • Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
