Job description

Impact Automation is looking for Junior and Senior Controls and Automation Engineers capable of performing a range of duties to support and accelerate the integration of material handling systems into customer facilities.
This role involves:
โ€ข Developing software for PLCs, HMIs, and IPCs.
โ€ข Installing, testing, and troubleshooting material handling systems.
โ€ข Supporting commissioning and startup activities.
โ€ข Collaborating cross-functionally with mechanical and electrical engineers, sales, and project management from project conception through post-installation support.
This is a hands-on, full-project-lifecycle role for engineers who want to see their work directly IMPACT operational success.

Responsibilities
โ€ข Program Rockwell PLCs
โ€ข Program HMI systems primarily in Ignition
โ€ข Assist in troubleshooting electromechanical systems
โ€ข Contribute to design documentation, plans, and technical drawings
โ€ข Provide on-site support for commissioning, training, and startup
Requirements
โ€ข B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university - OR - equivalent work experience
โ€ข Ability to read and understand panel designs, electrical schematics, and system layouts in AutoCAD 2D
โ€ข Must have effective communication (verbal and written) and have the desire to build strong relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
โ€ข Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines while working with project management and other engineering groups
โ€ข Occasional weekend, holiday, or overtime work may be required as part of a rotating support schedule
Bonus Qualifications
โ€ข 5+ years of controls or automation experience, preferably with Rockwell platforms
โ€ข Industry experience with material handling equipment or systems
โ€ข Experience in the use of CODESYS
โ€ข Experience with networking, PC controls, and operator displays
โ€ข Mechanical design experience in Autodesk Inventor or similar design software
