What You Will Do
As a Project Manager - Control Systems, you will serve as the on-site project leader responsible for planning, executing, and closing building automation and control systems projects for assigned customers. You will own project delivery from start to finish-balancing customer satisfaction, technical excellence, and financial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the execution of control systems projects, including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout
  • Managing overall project financials, including costs, billings, and collections
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships and acting as the primary point of contact throughout all project phases
  • Identifying and pursuing change orders while ensuring proper execution of warranty work
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

How You Will Do It
  • Provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administrative partners as needed
  • Coordinate effectively across teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and is performed with the highest ethical standards
  • Lead by example in safety, ensuring adherence to Johnson Controls safety policies and procedures

What We Look For
Required
  • Associate's degree in a technical field with 2 years of relevant field experience or 4 years of equivalent experience in the building automation industry
  • Experience programming control panels, preferably for HVAC systems
  • Proven experience managing projects
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong independent work ethic and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with computers and related tools

Preferred
  • Experience in the HVAC controls industry
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Knowledge of project accounting and costing principles
  • Hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC control systems

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,000 to $93,000(Salary to be determined by the education, experience,
knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market
data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The
