SUMMARY OF ROLE
COMPENSATION:$85k-$95k
Provide advanced technical support to local service organizations and customers in electrical, electronic, automation, and mechanical aspects of SIG filling line equipment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system optimization, ensuring high equipment performance and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the position contributes to installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects, acting as a second-level support expert for field teams and service professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an at-will employer, SIG reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.
  • Deliver 2nd level technical support to Service Account Managers (SAMs) and Field Service Engineers (FSEs).
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance and resolve complex system and automation issues.
  • Conduct claim analysis and identify root causes for technical failures
  • Support installation, commissioning, and startup of equipment in collaboration with project teams.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and support materials.
  • Deliver remote technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider) to support programming and system functionality.
  • Assist in equipment upgrades, including installation of rebuilding kits and restoring production operations.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective problem resolution and service quality.

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in automation technology and technical service environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems such as Siemens, Schneider, and Allen-Bradley.
  • Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control system principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft systems and MS Office tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills; advanced English required (Spanish is a plus).
  • Relevant technical experience (6-10 years in technical roles).
  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong focus on quality, results, and continuous improvement.
