The RoleAspenTech is looking for individuals to join our growing Product Quality Team in the role of Associate Manager, Software Quality Engineering leading the testing of Aspen Products providing next generation Engineering, Manufacturing, and Asset Optimization solutions. This is your opportunity to play an important role in this cutting-edge transformation.
We are looking for an Associate Manager to lead the creation and execution of testing approaches for our market-leading Operational Technology (OT) products, with a key objective of designing and developing low maintenance and portable test automation scripts using some of the latest industry technologies. You will lead the creation of robust test strategies to search out product issues while assuring that the product line conforms to established requirements and standards. You will also be responsible for the leading the gathering of functional requirements, information, and data to proactively drive quality best practices while collaborating with R&D and Product Management.Your Impact
  • Supervise team members providing guidance and feedback with their tasks, performance, and career development.
  • Proactively engage with cross-functional and international teams in an agile environment to achieve team and department objectives.
  • Lead the analysis of requirements, creation, and execution of test strategies and test cases, troubleshooting of issues and reporting of defects.
  • Lead the design, build, execution, and maintenance of test automation including API, UI, and non-functional verification.
  • Lead the utilization of CI/CD pipelines to build, configure, and patch multiple test environments.
  • Lead the execution of complex manual functional and non-functional tests.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3-8 years' work experience.
  • Proven technical leadership experience.
  • Ability to independently lead technical task planning, execution, and results.
  • Established scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell scripting).
  • Established experience with test automation tools and frameworks (examples may include pytest, Playwright, Selenium)
  • Experience with a source control system (CVS, Subversion, Git, etc.).
  • Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
  • Skilled in manual and automated testing best practices.
  • Innate desires to automate, monitor and continually improve everything in sight.

Preferred

  • Technical team management.
  • Experience with different database technologies (SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
  • Experience with Configuration Management.
  • Capability to maintain Windows/Linux/UNIX Servers.
  • Experience in server virtualization, especially VMWare.
  • General networking skills (Layer 2 & 3 switches, TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.).
  • Utility Industry experience working with or developing control system technology software.

The salary range for this role is $104,400.00 - $130,500.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
