Title: Automation Technician โ€“ ASRS / AMR Systems
Location: Libertyville, IL

Job Summary
Seeking an Automation Technician with experience in ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems) and AMR/AGV systems to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and uptime of automated material handling systems in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor ASRS/AMR systems for smooth and safe operation.
  • Respond to alarms, faults, and downtime issues quickly.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes, conveyors, lifts, shuttles, and robots.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), sensors, drives, motors, and networks.
  • Assist with system installation, startup, and commissioning.
  • Support WMS/WCS integration issues.
  • Maintain logs, PM records, and safety compliance.
  • Work with Engineering, IT, Operations, and vendors.

Required Skills

  • Associate degree / Technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Robotics, or similar.
  • 3โ€“7 years of automation or maintenance experience.
  • Hands-on with ASRS, conveyors, AMRs/AGVs.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley / Siemens).
  • Knowledge of 24VDC / 480VAC systems.
  • Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Preferred Skills
