JOB SUMMARY
The Machine Operator Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintains a safe work environment by following standards and procedures
  • Operate various machines within the cell
  • Maintains a clean machine and organized work area.
  • Performs basic daily and preventative maintenance and checks on machines
  • Meets daily production schedules by following procedures
  • Adaptable to cell and team concepts as well as cross-training
  • Sees that all safety guards are in place and in good condition
  • Inspects work in progress using equipment necessary and outlined in work instructions.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for quality of work
  • All other duties as assigned

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality control methods (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.) highly desired
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal
  • Computer skills (MS Office) and experience in ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, set up data sheets, and measurement instructions
  • Capable of using hand tools and general inspection tools effectively
  • Detail oriented with good time management and organization skills
  • Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes
  • Capable of using measuring instruments, i.e. micrometer, calipers, height gauge, etc.
  • Good attitude, eager to learn and be a team player
  • Must be able to stand, stoop and lift to 40-50lbs
