General Purpose of Job
Manufacture, organize, and prepare garage door materials for installation, service, and wholesale, according to sales orders and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Fabricate garage door sections according to customer specifications, including insulating, lining, cutting window openings and installing framed windows.
  • Build overhead garage door tracking systems and prepare for installation, service, and wholesale.
  • Pack, organize and stage garage door hardware kits.
  • Pull doors, openers, tracks and hardware and stage materials.
  • Load and unload raw material and supply trucks.
  • Assist Field Service team members load trucks.
  • Perform inventory counts and track inventory levels.
  • Complete paperwork for materials received.
  • Distribute deliveries.
  • Deliver completed doors to job sites.
  • Assist Inside Sales team as needed.
  • Adhere to and maintain compliance with established systems, policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping expectations and 5s standards.
  • Keep supervisor(s) informed of progress, issues and successes.
  • Identify, recommend and implement opportunities for continuous performance and process improvements.
  • Contribute to a spirit of cooperation and teamwork within and between departments and shifts.

Requirements
Skill, Competency, and Experience Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • One (1) year of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills required.

  • Ability to obtain forklift certification required.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment to include a computer and various small hand tools.
  • A high level of attention to detail, organization and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read, interpret and carry out instructions in written, oral and diagram form.
  • Strong customer service (internal and external) focus.

Physical Demands
