Job description

Summary:

A BIM /VDC Specialist's responsibilities are to perform 3D modeling and 2D drafting tasks for a fast-growing BIM Services group within electrical engineering department. The position entails working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers to create professional and accurate BIM models, layout drawings, and modeling of electrical systems. A successful candidate will be a self-motivated hard worker who enjoys the opportunity of working on a diverse array of projects. Candidate should be able to work well both independently, as well as in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time, On-Site

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret construction drawings accurately.

  • Produce Electrical BIM models varying from LOD 300 to LOD 400.

  • Model conduits, cable trays, and hangers.

  • Model in clearance zones for electrical panels and light fixtures.

  • Drafting/drawing using Autodesk Revit.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of work.

  • Cooperatively work with supervisors and other team members to complete project tasks.

  • Notify supervisor of project conflicts and/or issues that may affect project deadlines.

  • Maintain an exceptional rapport with clients and co-workers through proper time management, task management, and task focus.
