Job description

MayTec is looking for a passionate Application Engineer to support and grow sales in our fast-growing market. The ideal candidate is a flexible, creative engineer who has deep expertise, energetic curiosity, a solid grasp of design, and a desire to wear many hats. This person will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing problem-solving support and solutions in a vast variety of industries and technologies we serve.

Objectives of this role:

This position will bridge the gap between technical teams and customers. Responsible for handling all tasks associated with projects from the initial RFQ, design, quote, and preparing production and assembly details. Utilizing CAD and MayTec products, this position will create custom solutions for our customers by providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring product functionality.

Responsibilities:

· Strong analytical skills for analyzing customer requirements and diagnosing issues.

· Provide pre-sales support by preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and demonstrating product functionality.

· Assisting production and field service with technical issues and support as needed.

· Create drawings in SolidWorks for quotes and work orders. This includes providing customer drawings, layout prints for field techs and answering technical questions on MayTec’s products.

· Use drawings to create BOMs for quotes and work orders.

· Consult and provide technical support on the designs and installation of custom projects.

· Communicating with customers, distributors, management, vendors, and suppliers as required.

· Detailing engineering drawings for production and creating a library of documents.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, with 3 years of progressive design experience.

· Advanced design and drawing skills using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop etc.

· Excellent verbal and written commination skills, organized for multiple projects concurrently.

· Strong project management skills with attention to detail, and problem-solving

· Motivation and drive to exceed goals
