Description
The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. Our talented staff of more than 650+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering and construction solutions.
Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a (position) to assist with our projects in North Canton, OH!
The Agriculture Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from proposal through completion, mentoring staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and serving as a key point of contact for clients. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role will actively support client relationships and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage agricultural-focused engineering projects, including AutoCAD-based design, permitting, and construction observation and certification
  • Serve as a primary client contact, providing clear communication, project updates, and technical guidance
  • Support business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in due diligence activities
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and production staff to ensure successful project delivery
  • Oversee and manage contract budgets and project financial performance
  • Mentor, develop, and manage staff while supporting office and company growth initiatives
  • Perform and oversee general civil, agricultural, and environmental engineering design work
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary MSG teams including Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Civil, Agricultural, Traffic, Transportation, and Construction Services
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred
  • 5-10 years of relevant engineering and project management experience
  • Strong AutoCAD design experience
  • Proven ability to manage projects, staff, and budgets effectively
  • Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in a team-oriented environment
