Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a drafter to produce architectural drawings using AutoCad for our casework products. This position must be able to create detailed drawings that meet our customer specifications. This position is in communication with our dealer network for drawing revisions and approvals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review job file information and interpret architectural prints and specifications.
  • Communicate as needed with dealers on specifications.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to prepare rough-in drawings, elevation, top layout drawings, and hardware brochure for both wood and metal casework.
  • List discrepancies between drawings, quotes, and architectural prints.
  • Inform dealer of information needed to process job into completion.
  • Inform internal and external personnel of any changes resulting from revisions.
  • Compile file on each job and keep updated.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Drafting certification from a Vocational or Technical School or prior Auto CAD experience.
  • Prior experience with Auto CAD preferred.

Requirements:
  • High level of attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Maintain records of tasks and duties performed.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
  • Demonstrated success in teamwork, change management and continuous improvement.
