Job Description:
The AutoCAD Designer is a mid-level position at Three Phase. Our projects typically involve the development of solutions using a variety of automation technologies and platforms. These technologies are deployed for the control of automated industrial process in data centers, water/wastewater, central plants, power plants, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, and chemical processing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and have a strong background in drafting and design. This role is essential for creating detailed and accurate drawings that will be used in various industrial facilities. Our ideal candidate will have strong experience with piping systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, PFDs and P&IDs.
 Job Location:
The AutoCAD Designer position is remote work with occasional office and client site visits. We would prefer this person to be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area or Austin, TX area.
 
Background and Work Experience:
·         5+ years with AutoCAD is required
·         Experience with Revit and Pipe-Flo is preferred
·         Self-starter that exhibits a high level of initiative and resourcefulness
·         Highly proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, Bluebeam, and the use of                      Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
·         Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
·         Willingness and ability to adapt to different work environments and changing circumstances
·         Experience with piping systems, pipe racks, tanks, HVAC systems, PFDs and P&IDs
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Draft / Design drawings and technical details using AutoCAD 2014 or higher
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop accurate and functional designs
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Update and revise existing drawings to reflect changes and modifications
  • Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documentation
  • Maintain Revit and Navisworks models when needed
  • Verify that codes, standards, and regulations are followed, and all drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines
  • Writing documentation, including project engineering notes, SOO’s, MOP’s, user manuals, FAT & commissioning documentation, and instructions
  • Work with sales to provide input during quote preparation
  • Personal drive to learn new technologies and build your technical background
 
Travel Requirements:
Typical travel for this position is ~ 20-25% within the United States.  Travel will be required for site visits and during installation.
