zTrip, North America's largest taxi transportation provider, operates more than 6,000 vehicles across 39 cities, delivering safe and dependable transportation every day. We're looking for a skilled and dependable Auto Technician to join our maintenance team in Kansas City, MO.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys diagnosing issues, performing quality repairs, and helping keep a large fleet operating safely and efficiently. If you take pride in your work and enjoy solving mechanical challenges, we'd love to have you on our team.

What You'll Do as an Auto TechnicianVehicle Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services on fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance standards are met.
  • Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension systems, steering components, batteries, and other essential vehicle systems.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
  • Help minimize vehicle downtime through proactive maintenance and timely repairs.
Fleet Safety & Reliability
  • Ensure vehicles remain safe, dependable, and ready for daily operation.
  • Identify potential maintenance concerns before they develop into major repairs.
  • Test and verify completed repairs to ensure vehicles meet company standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians and maintenance staff to prioritize repairs and maximize fleet availability.
  • Support company safety initiatives through quality maintenance practices.
Shop Operations & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate repair orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
  • Document completed repairs and recommended services.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assist with monitoring parts inventory and reporting supply needs.
  • Work closely with team members and leadership to meet maintenance goals and schedules.
What We're Looking for as an Auto Technician:
  • Previous experience as an Auto Technician, Automotive Technician, Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Fleet Technician preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to identify mechanical and electrical issues and determine effective repair solutions.
  • Fleet maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-focused.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
