Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Shop Manager/Shop Mechanic/Field Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. As an auto, heavy machine and diesel mechanic,  by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles’ performance and function. 
As an Auto Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment. 
The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with coworkers, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles/heavy equipment coming into the shop
  • Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
  • Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
  • Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
  • You will be managing the shop so some management experience would be preferred. 
  • Going out into the field to repair heavy equipment

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
  • Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are required
  • Having a CDL is preferred as you will be test driving to ensure completion of repair
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
  • $30-$40 per hr depending on experience
