Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, providing them with expert advice and ensuring their needs are met efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively and understand automotive diagnostics will be crucial in delivering exceptional service and fostering customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
  • Provide detailed explanations of services required, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics.
  • Utilize your mechanical knowledge to advise customers on necessary repairs such as oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, and more.
  • Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition while maintaining transparency.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for services and repairs, ensuring all costs are clearly communicated to customers.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records of all service transactions.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns they may have.
  • Stay updated on automotive technology trends and dealership practices to provide the best service possible.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dealership setting is preferred.
  • Background in auto service management or as a service technician is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, including mechanical knowledge related to diesel engine repair, air brakes, alignment, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts, and auto body repair.
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
  • Experience in sales or upselling automotive services is a plus.
