Job description

Guaranty Chevrolet is seeking a motivated, results-driven Auto Internet Sales Director to lead and grow our Internet Sales Department.  This position is responsible for managing all incoming internet and digital leads while driving a high performing team focused on rapid response, customer engagement, appointment setting, and vehicle sales.

The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive sales professional and leader who understands the importance of speed-to-lead, consistent follow-up, CRM accountability, and a great customer experience. The Internet Sales Director will work closely with the Sales Managers and Sales Team to maximize every opportunity and increase showroom traffic and overall dealership sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, coach, and motivate the Internet Sales and BDC team.
  • Manage all Internet, website, third-party, phone, and digital sales leads.
  • Ensure leads are responded to quickly and professionally through phone, text, email, and other approved communication channels.
  • Establish and maintain a structured follow-up process designed to maximize appointments and sold units.
  • Monitor CRM activity, response times, follow-up efforts, appointment setting, show rates, and closing percentages.
  • Hold team members accountable to daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals.
  • Develop effective scripts, templates, and processes for communicating with online shoppers.
  • Work closely with Sales Managers to ensure a smooth transition from Internet lead to showroom visit and vehicle purchase.
  • Assist sales consultants in converting Internet opportunities into appointments and sales.
  • Review unsold, lost, and orphan leads to identify opportunities for additional follow-up.
  • Track lead sources and performance to determine which marketing channels generate the best results.
  • Conduct daily and weekly performance reviews with the Internet Sales team.
  • Provide ongoing sales training and coaching focused on phone skills, objection handling, appointment setting, and closing.
