Job description

Insurance Sales Agent Earn Up To $185K+
$22/hr guaranteed base + uncapped commission No insurance experience required Midvale, UT
Job Summary
Earn up to $185K+ in total compensation (base, bonus, and commission) working warm, high-intent leads: new inquiries from people actively shopping for auto, renters, and homeowners insurance. No cold calling, no purchased lists, no door knocking. These leads are warm, but they don't close themselves. You'll handle objections, cross-sell, and ask for the sale on every conversation. If you're a proven top performer in sales in any industry, we'll teach you insurance and pay for your license.
Training and Licensing
You don't need an insurance background. We will teach you. Our paid, three-phase training program guides you through every aspect of the insurance sales process: earn your Property & Casualty license (company-paid, a credential you keep for your entire career), shadow live calls with experienced agents, then take your own calls with a dedicated coach. Training runs 6-8 weeks, full-time, onsite in our Midvale office. Top performers can earn a hybrid schedule with 2 remote workdays per week.
Responsibilities
  • Work warm, high-intent leads from customers actively shopping for auto, renters, and homeowners coverage
  • Recommend coverage, explain policy features, handle objections, and close
  • Meet individual sales goals in a performance-driven environment
  • Accurately document customer interactions in our CRM
  • Complete company-paid licensing and compliance training on the clock

Qualifications
  • 1+ years in sales, customer service, or a call-center environment (any industry)
  • Proof you were a top performer: you can point to numbers such as close rate, quota attainment, or rankings that show you outperformed your peers
  • Strong communication and active-listening skills; self-motivated, goal-oriented, and coachable
  • Ability to attend 6-8 weeks of full-time onsite training in Midvale, UT, and live within 60 miles of our office for this onsite role
  • Ability to pass the Utah Property & Casualty state exam and meet state licensing and background-check requirements
  • CRM experience is a plus, not required

Compensation
  • $22/hour guaranteed base pay, including during paid training
  • Uncapped commission plus performance bonuses
  • Total compensation up to $185K+ (base + bonus + commission)

Work Environment
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Bamboo is committed to the principles of equal employment. We are committed to complying with all federal, state, and local laws providing equal employment opportunities, and all other employment laws and regulations.
