Job description

Job Summary: Body Shop Estimators are responsible for estimating the cost of repairing damaged vehicles. They must be knowledgeable about a wide range of repair techniques and materials, as well as the costs associated with each. They may also be responsible for tracking the progress of repairs on individual vehicles. This might include communicating with customers to keep them updated on the status of their vehicle or ensuring that all necessary parts have been ordered in a timely manner.

Body Shop Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly
  • Obtain customer and vehicle information
  • Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
  • Determine and recommend needed maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
  • Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
  • Establish follow up time
  • Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
  • Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Body Shop Estimator Requirements:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Previous experience with CCC One Estimating Software
  • DRP account experienceย
