Job description

Diehl Collision is seeking an experienced Auto Glass Installation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, the Auto Glass Installation Technician will be responsible for installing and repairing glass components on various makes and models of vehicles. This is a full-time, hourly position that will require knowledge of the auto industry and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will also be able to work independently and have a high attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $18 to $23 per hour, paid on a biweekly basis. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Remove and replace damaged or broken glass on vehicles
- Inspect and assess the condition of glass components on vehicles
- Determine the type and size of glass needed for repairs or replacements
- Prepare and clean the installation site
- Install new glass using proper tools and techniques
- Test and ensure proper function of all glass components
- Repair small chips and cracks in glass when possible
- Communicate with customers to provide updates and recommendations for their vehicles
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and techniques

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto glass installation
- Knowledge of vehicle makes and models, including the various types of glass used
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime
