Location: Cherry Hill, NJ

Salary: $92,000 โ€“ $151,000 annually + benefits

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and project management of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, and educational facilities. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects while working closely with clients, engineers, and other project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical design and project leadership experience, with expertise in power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical design and engineering components of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and control systems.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, client communication, team coordination, and quality control.
  • Conduct site visits, field investigations, and technical assessments to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Review designs and deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with NEC, IBC, IECC, and NFPA requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, civil engineers, clients, contractors, and other project teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, specifications, and project deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedules, and client expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5โ€“15 years of electrical engineering/design experience.
  • Strong experience with power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and control systems.
  • PE License or ability to obtain a PE License.
  • Knowledge of NEC, IBC, IECC, and NFPA codes and standards.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and provide technical direction to junior engineers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
