Job description

THIS POSITION REQUIRES RELOCATION TO MEMPHIS, TN. UP TO THREE MONTHS OF TEMPORARY HOUSING ASSISTANCE WILL BE PROVIDED
Position Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer - Prototype Development will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing cloud software and systems for our next-generation products. This role requires a creative problem-solver with a strong background in mechanical engineering and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements solutions for dishwasher and dispensing innovation projects including new equipment development and existing equipment innovation.
  • Manage project deadlines, outline Project Brief requirements.
  • Administers regulatory compliance with required agencies; NSF, CSA, UL, BOCA, ASSE, UPC and Federal, State and Local authorities.
  • Supports field sales team with regulatory issues including working with local inspectors to keep customers equipment in operation without disruption to the business.
  • Provides technical support to field sales team, contractors, consultants, engineers, and architects.
  • Develops and manages technical documentation for design control and field use.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree or comparable years of work experience.
  • Three years of design experience and working with regulatory agencies, commercial appliance industry preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with project management, goals and timelines.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, sheet metal fabrication, plastic component design, electrical/electronic circuit design, commercial water heaters and heat pumps.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 3D CAD Modeling - Autodesk Inventor Preferred.
  • Technical writing and instruction manual creation.
