Description

Department: Detail


Functions: Installation of aftermarket vehicle accessories to customer-owned vehicles and clean and detail company and customer-owned vehicles. 


Relationships: Reports to VP of Outside Operations and Detail Managers. 


Responsibilities and Authority:

Install aftermarket accessories to company-owned vehicles. 

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Responsible for upkeep and appearance of property in and around the facility.
  • Clean interior and exterior of all company-owned new and used vehicles, including the engine compartments.
  • Responsible for sanding and applying bed liner on vehicles. 
  • Install license plate surround and dealer sticker to company-owned vehicles. 
  • Movement of company-owned vehicles on lot, lot maintenance at direction of sales dept.
  • Apply paint, leather and/or fabric protection to company-owned vehicles.
  • Apply rust protection/undercoating as required to company-owned vehicles.
  • Help to maintain all tools and equipment used.
  • Maintain a pleasant and positive demeanor and attitude throughout shift.
  • Complete all required work on customer vehicles.
  • Remain compliant with OSHA and PPE training.
  • Inspect Lift / Equipment daily.
  • Responsible for upkeep and appearance of work area.
  • Perform light maintenance on equipment.
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary per Management. 



Requirements

Qualifications:

Must be able to read and comprehend instructions and information. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Professional appearance. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Excellent communication skills. 


Working Conditions:

Will stand, stoop, kneel, lift, push, pull, crouch and reach repeatedly during the shift. Will drive a company vehicle and customer vehicles during working hours. Will have personal interactions with customers. Will spend time outdoors on the lot year round. Will be exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust fumes, hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
