Auto Estimators verify and accurately provide electronic estimates on the cost of repairs on automobiles so that our clients can determine a fair amount for settlement. An estimator reviews each assignment by speaking with the owner or representative, researching records, and inspecting any involved property, to the satisfaction and approval of the client and or claimant.
The Centralized Arbitration and Appraisal Coordinator is a specialized role within the Operations Department, dedicated to managing arbitration and appraisal clause files from insurance clients. This role entails conducting meticulous desk reviews, overseeing field inspections for repairable vehicles, and addressing total loss disputed files, ensuring strict adherence to insurance clauses, regulatory mandates, and internal procedural expectations. By ensuring organized handling of disputes, umpiring, and other relevant concerns, this position plays a pivotal role in maintaining operational integrity and enhancing client satisfaction.
Requirements

• Contact Alacrity Solutions clients to complete inspections/appraisals within our given time frame.
• Travel varying distances to physically inspect heavy equipment, and auto appraisals.
• Communicate with customer and client on current and next steps.
• Handle assignments from beginning to conclusion. Make decisions within delegated authority as outlined in client policies and procedures. Adhere to high standards of professional conduct consistent with the delivery of superior service.
• Recommend Special Reserves where necessary, in accordance with Client Reserving Guidelines.
• Maintain current knowledge of local industry repair procedures and local market pricing.
Competencies
• Electronic estimating experience using Mitchell, AdjustRite, and CCC.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and adaptability.
• The ability to self-organize and manage the day.
• Has a working knowledge of Department of Insurance and State Regulations.
• Experience and Knowledge of Auto Repair Processes and Estimating.
• Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills.

Work Environment

Normal office or field claims environment. Ability to operate a motor vehicle for up to 8 hours daily, repeatedly entering and exiting the vehicle. Must be able to make physical inspections of property loss sites. Must be able to climb ladders, balance at various heights, stoop, bend and/or crawl to inspect vehicles and structures. Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Available to work catastrophic loss events. Willingness to work irregular hours and to travel with possible overnight requirements a plus.

Required Education and Experience

• Adjusters license - if applicable to location.
• 3+ years field claims experience including, insurance experience, or equivalent in Multi-vendor estimating.
• 1+ year, strong customer service and conflict resolution competency.
• 1+ year, in being able to successfully perform work independently (self-motivated and organized).
Preferred Education and Experience
• AdjustRite experience preferred.
• Mitchell experience preferred.
• CCC experience preferred.
• I-Car platinum certification preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Additional eligibility requirements
• Must maintain and hold sole responsibility for any required state licensure including renewals and all other requirements prior to expiration.
