Job description

General Purpose:
Portland Body shop has an immediate opening for an experienced Auto Body Estimator/Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an established company in collision repair and take your career to the next level. We're looking for someone who can work well with customers, accurately assess damaged vehicles and work in cooperation with others to achieve common goals.

Key Competencies::

• Must have a thorough knowledge of cars and mechanical knowledge
• Skilled at listening, problem-solving and communicating orally
• Must have a friendly and professional communication style
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication with internal/external customers
• Must dress in a neat and business-like manner and adhere to the company dress code
• Must be organized
• Should be mature and highly motivated
• Must be able to maintain effective personal relationships with supervisory, staff members and customers.
• Must know how to use a computer, CC-1
• Ability to adapt to change as we are a growing company

Education and Experience::

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in auto repair industry, such as service advising, service writing,
warranty claims or auto technician experience is strongly preferred
• Sales experience is required

Physical Demands / Requirements::

Duties performed in a variety of settings and surrounding environment. Physical activities are
required, such as but not limited to kneeling, reaching, stooping, climbing ladders, frequent
walking, standing, lifting, up to approximately 50 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment
weighing up to approximately 75 pounds may be required. The worker is subject to inside and
outside environmental conditions, noise and hazards. The environment also exposes the employee to potentially hazardous substances.

A Day in the life:
Lead a successful team and manage in our fast-paced retail auto body store
Manage store operations to maximize sales, profits and customer service
Inventory protection, asset management, operational and safety issues
Overall cleanliness and readiness of delivery vehicles, stock room and outside areas
Drive Freeman operational and marketing programs while steering toward continuous improvement in processes and procedures
