As an Inside Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting policyholders and adjusters with both auto and property claims.

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for resolving claims and assisting customers, adjusters, and managers with auto and property claims. 
  • Determine coverages, make liability decisions, and determine damages owed under policy contracts. 
  • Provide quality customer service by responding to customer calls in a timely and efficient manner and conveying resolutions to customers, peers, and managers. 
  • Effectively organize time and effort on files in order to minimize the days to close auto claims and/or property claims. 
 
Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Two years of experience in the area of Insurance focused on handling claims preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Claims Best Practices, tort laws in the states we do business in and Department of Insurance regulations, particularly each state’s fair claims practice act. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills. 
  • General office skills such as faxing, copying, filing, and typing 30 words per minute. 
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows 10, Outlook, Guidewire, and ImageRight.
