Job description

The Commercial Body Shop Painter in Nisku, Canada is primarily responsible for painting of vehicles and equipment. This includes sandblasting of components or entire assets as needed. All preparation such as taping, masking, and other prep work as needed

$3,500.00 Sign on bonus

Physical demand requirements for heavy work Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment and machinery including various types of painting equipment, blasting equipment assorted hand tools, etc. Working knowledge of tools of trade (including welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools)

Painting of various assets and or components as needed

Sandblasting of equipment and components

Sanding, taping and other prep work as needed

Mixing of paints as needed

Responsible for all painting equipment maintenance, guns, compressors, paint and sand blast booths

Mechanical knowledge with "hands on approach" as needed

Maintain accurate computer and written documentation and compliance logs

Clean, degrease and primer both component parts and finished products.  Paint completed products with an automotive finish.  Clean and maintain all paint equipment.  Maintain a high quality paint standard throughout.

Assembles and disassembles components and parts as needed

Works with parts department for the availaibilty of job related materials

Ensures all aspects of painting and sandblasting areas are in compliance

Provide inventory and inspection reports to management as requested

Conduct periodic reviews of all of our established standard operating procedures for this operation including all health and safety and company training programs as well as company policies and procedures

Ensures 5 s's of shop practice are followed

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
