Job description

Auto Body Shop Helper

Driven Auto Body has become one of the fastest growing Auto Body repair shops in Siouxland, and we are looking for highly motivated individuals that want to grow with us! The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and professional workplace. We are currently hiring a Body Shop Helper to help support our booming body shop business and to provide our customers with exceptional experiences.

The Body Shop Helper will perform duties across all aspects of the body repair process to include shuttling customers and vehicles to their proper destination, checking in parts, washing cars, cleaning the shop, office areas, quality control checks, aiding in the repair process and all other tasks assigned by the management team

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-cleaning all vehicles prior to beginning the repair process
  • Final cleaning vehicles after the repair process
  • Eliminate all evidence of repairs, and return vehicle to like-new appearance, assist in final quality checks prior to delivering vehicle back to customer
  • Checking in and receiving parts; getting parts to the technicians and storing parts on parts carts or cover to eliminate potential damage
  • Moving vehicles on site and off site
  • Clean and organize shop and keep personal work area organized and clean, returns tools and maintains parts/materials carts in an organized manner.
  • Ensure that all cars that need to be pulled in/out in the morning and evening are moved and that all cars left outside are locked and secure.
  • Notifies management of any issues or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time
  • Able to follow all workplace safety requirements
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal equipment
  • Assist or help all shop personnel with any and or all aspects related to the repair process
  • Perform other duties as assigned relating to, but not limited to washing cars, cleaning the shop, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Dependable and adaptable โ€“ enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
  • Excellent communication skills, high level of initiative, and ability to work as part of a team
  • Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Good time management skills
  • Honest and great work ethic
