Who we are looking for:

Dealers Auto Auction of OKC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Body Shop Vehicle Prepper to join our team. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting and repairs by performing a variety of tasks to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle preparation, including sanding, priming, and masking, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.

What you will do:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Wash, sand, and mask vehicles to prepare for painting and repair work.
  • Inspect vehicles for dents, scratches, and other imperfections and report findings to the body shop team.
  • Apply primer and sealers as needed to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Prep vehicles by removing parts and trim to ensure the paint job is precise and thorough.
  • Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle components as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols.
  • Assist in minor repairs such as filling dents and scratches.
  • Collaborate with body shop technicians, painters, and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications & Skills:
    • Experience in vehicle prepping, detailing, or body shop work.
