About the position

HoneyCar is growing, and we’re looking for a dedicated Truck Buyer who knows the full-size pickup market inside and out. If you live and breathe F-150s, Silverados, Rams, and other full-size trucks, and enjoy being hands-on at auctions, this role was built for you.
This is a full-time, in-office position with regular travel to regional auto auctions. You’ll play a key role in sourcing high-quality inventory that meets our pricing, condition, and market-demand standards.
What You’ll Do

  • Source and purchase full-size pickup trucks (Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Ram 1500/2500, GMC Sierra, etc.)
  • Attend in-person auto auctions and evaluate vehicles for condition, value, and reconditioning needs
  • Analyze market trends, pricing data, and resale performance to make informed buying decisions
  • Work closely with leadership, inventory, and reconditioning teams to ensure fast turn and strong margins
  • Manage post-purchase documentation, titles, and inventory flow
  • Maintain strong relationships with auction partners and vendors

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience buying vehicles, preferably trucks or high-demand inventory
  • Strong knowledge of the full-size pickup market, trims, engines, and common issues
  • Ability to accurately assess vehicle condition under time pressure
  • Comfortable traveling to auctions and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time position
  • In-office based in Winchester, VA
  • On-site presence at the job site is required
  • Frequent travel to regional auctions
  • Travel required during the workweek
