This entry-level position requires no previous full-time work experience.  Qualified candidates will be enrolled into Safety’s formal training program where they will learn basic adjusting skills and develop investigative techniques in handling automobile physical damage claims. The successful candidate will be an advocate for delivering a high level of customer service, while displaying empathy and a supportive attitude for our policyholders. This role has the potential for a hybrid work schedule, contingent upon job performance.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up first notice of losses (FNOL) using Safety’s proprietary software programs
  • Interprets coverage and identifies potential coverage defenses
  • Gathers and analyzes relevant information from insureds, claimants, witnesses and law enforcement to establish liability and scope of damages
  • Becomes proficient in using various software and database programs
  • Applies Massachusetts Standards of Fault to determine liability
  • Identifies all subrogation opportunities
  • Fosters and maintains a collaborative business relationship with our agency partners
  • Delivers first class claims service to Safety’s valued customers
