Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students and young adults (up to age 26) with moderate to severe Autism. This school-based position is located near Dowagiac, MI, and offers the chance to make a significant impact across an entire district. As an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll collaborate with staff and families to foster communication development and facilitate improved student engagement in learning environments.

Qualifications and Desired Background:

  • Valid Michigan SLP license (required)
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
  • School-based or Autism-spectrum experience valued
  • Proficiency in direct and consultative SLP services
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Must complete background check and fingerprinting before starting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to students from Kindergarten through age 26 with moderate to severe Autism
  • Work onsite during school hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:45 PM; 36.25 hours per week)
  • Conduct assessments, create and implement tailored therapy plans, and document student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop IEP goals and provide communication support across settings
  • Travel between district sites as needed to serve a variety of students
