Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner / PMHNP
Location: Austin, TX
Austin Oaks Hospital offers a continuum of psychiatric services for adolescents, ages 12-17, and for adults, age 18 and older and an exclusive women's wellness program. Located in South Austin, Texas, we strive to provide a warm environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self-awareness, social skills and personal growth. We're seeking a Full-Time Psychiatric NP / PMHNP to join our dynamic team and make a lasting impact on the lives of our patients.

Our hospital offers a full continuum of psychiatric services, including:
  • Inpatient programs for adolescents ages 12+ and adults.
  • Specialized services for Women's Wellness and Addiction/Detox
  • Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) & Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)

Position Details:
  • Caseload That Works for You: Manageable average of 15 patients per day, allowing for meaningful patient interactions and work-life balance.
  • Setting and Patients: Inpatient Adult / Women's Specialty or Adolescents; Optional PHP/IOP work available in the afternoons.
  • Consistent Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime hours with minimal weekends and on-call requirements.
  • Arrangement: Employed W-2 or 1099 available.
  • Collaborative Culture: Be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to innovative and compassionate mental health care.

Requirements:
  1. Education: NP degree from an accredited and recognized program required.
  2. Certifications: Post graduate PMHNP certificate required.
  3. Licensure: Current Texas APRN license in good standing.
  4. Credentialing: Meet all credentialing criteria required by participating providers.
  5. Required Experience: 3+ years prior PMHNP work experience (clinical rotations and preceptor hours not included).
