Job description

GO Systems, within Product and Regulatory Operations (PRO), is a technically-minded team responsible for developing and executing a unified, interoperable infrastructure strategy across Global Operations (GO). The team drives production workflow maturity by identifying tooling strategies that solve complex operational business problems and partnering with key engineering teams to execute against those strategies at scale.We are looking for a staff-level, full-stack software developer to join GO Systems. In this role, you will set the technical direction for our support platform and internal tooling ecosystem, leading architectural decisions that remove engineering bottlenecks, accelerate operational workflows, and enable Global Operations to scale effectively across a diverse, multinational environment.
Software Developer, GO Systems Responsibilities:
  • Define and drive the long-term technical architecture and roadmap for GO Systems tooling, aligning infrastructure strategy with Global Operations business priorities
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable full-stack solutions using PHP/Hack and JavaScript/React that power operational workflows across the family of apps
  • Identify and resolve systemic engineering bottlenecks across the GO tooling ecosystem, driving measurable improvements in platform reliability and operational efficiency
  • Partner with engineering, product management, legal, partnerships, and business development stakeholders to translate complex operational requirements into technical solutions
  • Establish and champion engineering best practices for design reviews, code quality, and incident management processes across GO Systems
  • Drive the adoption of AI and automation technologies within Global Operations to improve workflow efficiency and support experience quality
  • Lead cross-functional technical alignment across organizational boundaries, influencing roadmaps and priorities for partner engineering teams
  • Develop business cases and technical proposals that support new and improved processes for consumers, businesses, and partners leveraging Meta's products
  • Gather, analyze, and apply operational data to identify systemic gaps and design tooling solutions that improve the end-to-end support experience
  • Mentor other engineers across the team, elevating technical craft and fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack projects across frontend, backend, and data layers
  • 8+ years of experience driving end-to-end execution of complex, multi-team technical projects while defining technical strategy and roadmaps
  • Experience architecting and scaling internal tooling platforms or operational support systems in a large, multinational environment
  • Experience communicating and influencing technical and non-technical cross-functional partners across large organizations
  • Experience working across global, multicultural teams to design and improve business operations and tooling from the ground up

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience integrating AI or machine learning capabilities into operational workflows, including responsible AI practices such as bias mitigation and quality review
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience with agile and scrum development methodologies applied to delivering complex operational tooling roadmaps
  • Experience with process change management or large-scale process improvement initiatives within a global operations or trust and safety context
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience with workforce management tooling, bug management systems, or customer support platform development
