Job description

The Inside Sales Intern within the Client Services team supports aftermarket parts and service growth initiatives by analyzing data, identifying aftermarket parts opportunities, and helping streamline internal sales and follow-up processes. This role is data-driven and customer-facing, combining analytical work with outbound client engagement to support inside sales efforts.
The Intern will research UPS equipment installed in the field, identify assets with aftermarket parts or service opportunities, and assist in converting those opportunities into actionable leads. The role also supports data cleanup, reporting, and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of aftermarket sales activities.
Must be a Junior or Senior currently enrolled in college and attending a college near the work location - Columbus, OH.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and research installed UPS equipment to identify aftermarket parts and service opportunities, including assets lacking recent service history.
  • Utilize multiple systems and databases (including Salesforce, SCS, Access, and other ERP tools) to locate equipment, validate asset data, and support inside sales initiatives.
  • Scrub, validate, and consolidate data from Salesforce and internal systems to generate targeted client lists for aftermarket parts and service outreach.
  • Build, maintain, and update databases that support inside sales follow-up, opportunity tracking, and aftermarket pipeline development.
  • Support the streamlining and standardization of aftermarket parts processes, reporting, and internal workflows.
  • Assist with client outreach, including contacting customers to confirm equipment status, location, or interest in aftermarket parts or services.
  • Follow up with clients who have expressed interest in aftermarket parts or preventative maintenance.
  • Prepare basic reports and summaries to support Client Services and Inside Sales teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Client Services and aftermarket sales initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Client Service and/or Business to Business sales/service background
  • Working on obtaining Bachelor Degree (Business or Engineering) from four-year college or university (Junior or higher)

Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Sales Force a plus
  • Experience using Computer and Internet research tools
  • Experience working with AI, including creating agents
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good organizational skills: Ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient in spreadsheet analytics, charts and graphs, PowerPoint presentation, MS Excel/Word
