Job description

This role operates under the guidance of the Community Based Services (CBS) Clinical Manager to complete Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) Waiver documentation, ensuring compliance with state standards. The position supports the CBS Department by maintaining accurate and thorough documentation for various programs within the CBS umbrella. Key responsibilities include timely communication with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and state agencies to secure service approvals and resolve eligibility concerns. The role requires familiarity with state systems used for data entry and service authorization verification, such as KAMIS and MCO authorization websites. Collaboration with other departments is essential to assist with claims filing and audits. The position also involves auditing SED Waiver Plans of Care and working closely with Health Information Management to ensure regulatory compliance. Additional duties include assisting staff with eligibility documentation and general data entry tasks within the CBS department. Education and Experience: Candidates must have one of the following: a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field), an Associate's degree plus two or more years of experience educating and teaching clients about self-care and daily living activities, or a combination of education and experience totaling four or more years. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Special Education with specialized training in human development and family dynamics, along with three to five years of professional experience in mental health or related services. Licensure such as LBSW is preferred. Skills and Requirements: Applicants should have a basic understanding of community mental health services and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and time management skills are essential.
