The Senior Accountant supports the Finance team with essential accounting functions, administrative tasks, and operational coordination. This role is suited for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is comfortable working across departments to keep financial operations accurate and current.

This is not a purely transactional bookkeeping role. The Senior Accountant maintains the accuracy and integrity of Cybastion's financial records while coordinating directly with Project Managers and other departments to keep project-related financial data current. The right person is comfortable balancing hands‑on accounting work with cross-functional coordination in a growing organization.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and internal reports.
• Reconcile bank and ledger accounts, and support monthly and annual close processes.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure data integrity.
• Perform administrative duties, including recordkeeping, document filing, and archiving of financial and operational documents.
• Serve as a liaison with Project Managers to collect, verify, and process project-related financial data, and collaborate with other departments to consolidate financial inputs.
• Assist in audits and compliance checks by preparing supporting documentation.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company accounting policies.

Non-Negotiable Cultural Fit: Accuracy here isn't optional — Cybastion's finance function underpins trust with clients, auditors, and partners across multiple countries. The Senior Accountant must be detail-oriented enough to catch what others miss and proactive enough to flag issues before they become problems.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, and brings a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, Oracle, Sage) and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and excellent communication skills — including the ability to interact with non-finance stakeholders — round out the profile. Experience in technology, cybersecurity, or international development sectors, familiarity with digital and physical filing systems, exposure to project-based accounting, and French language proficiency are all a plus given Cybastion's operations in Francophone Africa.
