Job description

Quality Project Manager

Reporting to the Director of Global Quality, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving G&W's Quality Management Program across global operations. The role provides leadership and governance for Change Management (CMR) and Continuous Improvement Initiatives (CII), including oversight of the quality improvement portfolio, monitoring project progress, driving timely completion, and verifying the effectiveness of implemented improvements. This position manages high-priority quality projects from initiation through completion while ensuring effective governance of the overall project portfolio. The role also supports other Global Quality functions as needed, including Quality Management System (QMS) administration and certifications, internal audits, product certifications, quality documentation, ETQ system administration, quality metrics and reporting, root cause analysis, and supplier quality management.

As a Quality Project Manager you will:

  • Lead and oversee G&W's Change Management (CMR) and Continuous Improvement (CII) project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business and quality objectives.
  • Manage high-priority quality improvement projects from initiation through implementation, including project planning, scope definition, resource allocation, scheduling, execution, and closure.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to resolve systemic quality issues through structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively manage risks, remove barriers, and ensure timely achievement of project milestones and objectives.
  • Provide governance for the CMR and CII portfolio by tracking progress, following up with project owners, driving accountability, and validating project completion and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain project management processes, reporting tools, templates, and knowledge repositories to support collaboration, communication, and organizational learning.
  • Support Quality Management Review meetings by preparing project status updates, identifying risks and issues, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items.
  • Establish project priorities and coordinate activities across functions to optimize resource utilization and successful project execution.
  • Support Global Quality activities, including internal and external audits, QMS maintenance, quality documentation, product certifications, ETQ administration, quality metrics and reporting, root cause analysis, and supplier quality initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Project management and project leadership experience required: planning, communications, schedule and risk management ability to influence and stakeholder management.
  • Proven experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred.
  • Quality Engineering and/or Quality auditor training and certification.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
  • Plant operations or issue resolution experience preferred.

Typical pay is $74,732 - $97,193
